I took out petitions from the election commissioner so I could run for county commissioner in district 3.  This district is western Wichita starting just west of the river and covering almost all of city ward/district 5 (Longwell) as well as two precincts in ward/district 4 (Gray) and four precincts in ward 6 (Fearey).

Despite having ¾ of the population in this district within the boundaries of the city of Wichita, district 3 covers 13 townships (plus a tiny bit of what is left of Delano Township) that covers a number of cities: Goddard, Clearwater, Cheney, Mt. Hope, Colwich, Andale, Garden Plain as well as smaller communities like Viola.  This district is largest geographically of any of the five county commission districts.
